Blocked Drains FAQ
Everything you need to know about our blocked drains service in Melbourne. Can't find your answer? Call us directly.
When should I get a CCTV drain inspection?
If you have recurring blockages, slow drains, gurgling sounds, sewage smells, or you're buying a property. CCTV reveals tree root intrusion, pipe damage, and collapsed sections that cause ongoing issues.
How does hydro-jetting work?
We insert a specialised nozzle into the drain and blast water at up to 5,000 PSI. This cuts through tree roots, dissolves grease build-up, and scours the pipe walls clean - far more effective than a standard drain snake.
Can you fix the pipe without digging?
In many cases, yes. Our drain relining service inserts an epoxy-coated liner that bonds to the inside of the pipe, effectively creating a new pipe within the old one. No excavation, no landscaping damage.
Why do my drains keep blocking?
Recurring blockages are usually caused by tree root intrusion, pipe damage (cracks or bellying), or accumulated grease. A CCTV inspection identifies the exact cause so we can fix it permanently rather than just clearing symptoms.
Do you clear stormwater drains?
Yes - we clear both sewer and stormwater drains. Stormwater blockages often cause flooding during heavy rain, so clearing them before storm season is a smart preventative measure.
How long does drain clearing take?
Most standard blockages are cleared within 30-60 minutes. If hydro-jetting or CCTV inspection is needed, allow 90 minutes to 2 hours for a thorough job.
