Facade Cleaning FAQ
Everything you need to know about our facade cleaning service in Melbourne. Can't find your answer? Call us directly.
What access methods do you use?
We use the safest, most efficient method for each building: water-fed poles (up to 4 storeys), elevated work platforms/cherry pickers (up to 8 storeys with ground access), and rope access technicians (taller buildings or restricted access). We assess your building and recommend the best approach.
How often should building windows be cleaned externally?
Most residential strata buildings benefit from bi-annual cleaning (typically spring and autumn). Commercial buildings and high-profile residential properties may prefer quarterly cleaning. Buildings near construction sites or busy roads may need more frequent service.
Do you clean balcony glass and screens?
Yes, we clean balcony balustrades, privacy screens, and glass panels as part of the service. For safety, we clean balcony glass from the exterior rather than entering individual apartments.
What happens in bad weather?
Rope access and EWP work cannot proceed in high winds (typically above 40km/h) or heavy rain. We monitor weather forecasts and reschedule promptly at no cost if conditions are unsafe. We keep the building manager informed of any changes.
Do residents need to be notified?
Yes, we prepare notification letters for the building manager to distribute. Residents should close windows, remove items from window sills, and be aware of our presence on their level. We can also directly email or letterbox residents if preferred.
Can you clean after construction or renovation?
Yes, post-construction glass cleaning requires specialist techniques to remove render splatter, concrete dust, and protective film residue. We use appropriate scrapers, chemicals, and techniques to restore glass without scratching.
