Fence Repairs FAQ
Everything you need to know about our fence repairs service in Melbourne. Can't find your answer? Call us directly.
Can you repair Colorbond fencing?
Yes, we repair and replace Colorbond panels, rails, and posts. We source colour-matched components from BlueScope or compatible suppliers for a seamless repair. Dented panels and damaged posts are our most common Colorbond repairs.
How do you replace a rotted fence post?
We dig out the old post and concrete footing, set a new treated post in fresh concrete at the correct height and alignment, and reattach rails and palings. Posts are set in a minimum 450mm deep concrete footing for stability.
Can you fix a sagging gate?
Yes, sagging gates are usually caused by worn hinges, loose post fixings, or post movement. We can re-hinge, add support brackets, install anti-sag kits, or replace the post if it's the underlying cause.
Who's responsible for the dividing fence - me or my neighbour?
Under Victoria's Fences Act, dividing fences are a shared responsibility between neighbours. We can provide quotes suitable for cost-sharing discussions and advise on the standard of fence required for your area.
Do you build new fences?
We handle fence repairs, replacement sections, and small new fence installations (up to ~10m). For full property boundary fencing or new fence builds, we can refer you to a specialist fencer and coordinate the project.
How long does a fence repair take?
Gate adjustments take 30-60 minutes. Replacing 5-10 palings takes 1-2 hours. A full post replacement with palings takes half a day. We aim to complete most fence repairs in a single visit.
