Hot Water Systems FAQ

Everything you need to know about our hot water systems service in Melbourne. Can't find your answer? Call us directly.

How long do hot water systems last?
Electric storage: 8-12 years. Gas storage: 8-12 years. Gas continuous: 15-20 years. Heat pump: 10-15 years. Regular servicing (especially anode replacement) can extend lifespan significantly.
Should I upgrade to a heat pump?
If your electric storage system is aging, a heat pump is an excellent upgrade. They use up to 75% less energy and may qualify for $1,000+ in Victorian rebates. We can calculate your payback period.
Can you install a hot water system the same day?
For common models (which we keep in stock), yes. For specialty or less common units, we typically install within 2-3 business days of ordering.
Do you handle the gas and electrical connections?
Yes, our team includes licensed plumbers, gas fitters, and electricians so the entire installation is handled in one visit. No need to coordinate multiple trades.
What size hot water system do I need?
As a guide: 1-2 people need 125-160L, 3-4 people need 250-315L, 5+ people need 315-400L (storage). Continuous flow systems are sized by flow rate instead. We'll recommend the right size for your household.
Is the old system disposal included?
Yes, we disconnect, drain, remove, and responsibly dispose of your old hot water system at no extra charge with every replacement installation.
