Tree Trimming FAQ
Everything you need to know about our tree trimming service in Melbourne. Can't find your answer? Call us directly.
Do you remove large trees?
We handle small to medium tree pruning (up to about 8m). For large tree removal, we can refer you to a certified arborist and coordinate the work as part of a broader garden project.
When is the best time to trim hedges?
Most hedges in Melbourne are best trimmed in late spring (after the main growth flush) and again in late summer. Formal hedges may need a light trim every 6-8 weeks during the growing season.
Will pruning damage my trees?
Not when done correctly. We follow Australian Standard AS4373, making proper cuts at the branch collar. This promotes healing and healthy regrowth rather than the decay that results from improper lopping.
Can you reduce a tree that's too big?
Yes, crown reduction is a common request. We can reduce the overall size of a tree by up to 30% while maintaining its natural shape and structural integrity.
Do you take the green waste?
Always. Green waste removal is included in every job. We load it onto our trailer and dispose of it at a green waste recycling facility.
Do you offer regular trimming schedules?
Yes — we offer quarterly, bi-annual, or seasonal pruning programs. Regular scheduling keeps hedges sharp and trees healthy, and prevents the overgrowth that requires more expensive corrective work.
